PHOTOGRAPHY WITH SUSANNE TOCKAN
In an era heavily defined by social media, rapid-fire imagery, and constant connectivity, there is often little room for genuine encounters—whether with others or with oneself. Impressions are consumed in rapid succession, while listening, asking questions, and mindful observation increasingly take a back seat.
This is precisely where this photography workshop comes in.
Young people explore how to portray individuals in images—not superficially or hastily, but with an attentive eye for personality, mood, and expression. The process results in photographic portraits accompanied by brief personal statements.
The focus is on connection and conversation: participants take the time to truly listen to one another, ask questions, and capture their thoughts. From these moments emerge images and quotes that reveal more than just an outward appearance.
The workshop combines the fundamentals of photography with a more mindful perspective on people and their stories. The camera becomes a tool for pausing, observing, and capturing what often goes unnoticed.
The project culminates in a small exhibition of portraits and quotes, offering a personal and honest glimpse into the group and their perspectives.
